We’ve all heard that time is gold. We all know that by now, especially since we have neglected time so many times and it had made us pay dearly for the mistake. Too many times, we have all made the error of taking time for granted and thinking that it would wait for us. It is a mistake that we are all guilty of committing, over and over again, and we never seem to learn much.

It is a typical trait that we all have, not learning even from oft repeated mistakes. And of course, the issue of time is one of the foremost of those mishaps that always happen to nearly each and every one of us. We simply don’t seem to learn, and even though time is so precious, we still tend to overlook it.

In an effort to know the time, and keep up with it somehow, watches were invented. It is used in doing just about anything, because most of our activities are dependent upon time. That’s a statement on its importance right there, so there is no denying the need for owning and always wearing watches. In spite of this importance however, there is still the seeming snub that’s heaped on time that has been mentioned earlier. It’s almost a sickness that people have, and there seems to be no clear solution to it at all. The closest remedy is perhaps to just continue wearing a watch with the intention of knowing the time and making good use of it.

All of this assessment has been based primarily on my own personal experience with time. Or to put it more correctly, my own personal negligence of time and hhow I have paid for it. The effect was usually felt on my work, and that is certainly something that is very serious. I was always late and it came to the point that I was fired from my job. It was a very low point in my life and career and I vowed that it would never happen again.

I made a decision to become more professional when it came to keeping time and I must say that it was indeed a struggle at first. It struck me how difficult it was to do such a simple thing, and I discovered that I need to put more focus in it in order to be successful.
